Talking about business
24.10.14
Ever since i've took business and strategy modules for my 3rd year, my brain is filled with Jack Ma's strategy,Apple vs Samsung strategy, Game theory,How Amazon works etc...And i've learnt many things from my lecturer! So not too bad. It's feel like i've stepped into a business world. I came across 2 post that might one day be useful:
How American Top Business Leader spend every minute of their day
These came from leaders such as Google, Adobe, Kelloggs,Twitter etc. They woke up as early as 6am to exercise (to improve mood and boost energy) before going work.
Time spent during work:
Email and texting -2hr 25mins
Strategy(for long term success) - 20 mins
Personal Development -30mins
They are spent every minute of their time meaningfully.
Though it doesn't apply to me yet cos i am not sure how do i apply this in a private(institutional) sector.
Or maybe this can be applicable to me so that i would not panic to rush my work.
Also moving forward, another article that is useful to read about:
Jack Ma teaches on how to be successful in life and business
Firstly, Jack Ma owns Alibaba group(includes aliexpress, taobao, alipay) and believe in eco system not how much you earn for your business.
And so, 2 principles that Jack Ma believe in Attitude and Decisions (more than capabilities)!
You cannot unify everyone’s thoughts, but you can unify everyone through a common goal.
So true. No one think alike and there will be conflict if you want someone to have the same thought/mindset as you. So the only thing is to have everyone working towards the goal.
Don’t be involved in politics
Once you are running a business, don’t ever think of being involved in politics.Partnership is much more impt to enhance in business growth for the long term.
Don’t make complaining and whining a habit
If you complain or whine once in a while, it is not a big deal.On the path to success, you will notice that the successful ones are not whiners, nor do they complain often.
The 4 main questions the young generation must ponder on
- What is failure: Giving up is the greatest failure.
- What is resilience: Once you have been through hardships, grievances and disappointments, only then will you understand what is resilience.
- What your duties are: To be more diligent, hardworking, and ambitious than others.
- Only fools use their mouth to speak. A smart man uses his brain, and a wise man uses his heart.
