3D Novelty agar agar cake recipe


INGREDIENT 

Clear Agar Agar:
10/13g Agar Agar powder (rose brand)
1000ml Water
140g Rock sugar (white small ones)
2 stalks Pandan leaves (knotted)

Coconut Agar Agar:
15/16g Agar Agar powder
500ml Coconut milk ( Kara light milk form) or 1 coconut
500ml Water
140g Rock sugar (white small ones)
2 stalks Pandan leaves (knotted) - leave some stem for fragrance

Method:
Clear layer Agar agar
1) place Agar Agar powder into a pot. Add 1000ml hot water into the Agar agar with sugar and pandan leaf.
2) Bring to boil

Coconut layer Agar agar 
*slightly boil will do
1) Place Agar agar powder into a pot.Add 500ml hot water, sugar and pandan leave and stir.
2) Slightly boil, don’t boil for too long as it will get oily.Add in coconut milk to boil.Turn off fire once boil, remove pandan leave.Serve the Agar agar before adding colouring.

More agar Agar powder will lead to harder Agar agar (won’t break easily)

Note: 
6” round tin
(All Agar Agar liquid to tare to 0degree)
1st layer (light purple) - 150g
2nd layer (clear) - 100g
3rd layer (light pink) - 100g
4th layer (clear) - 100g
5th layer (dark orange) - 100g
6th layer (clear) - 100g
7th layer (dark yellow) -100g
8th layer (clear) - 100g
9th layer (dark green) - 100g
10th layer (clear) - 100g
11th layer (light blue) - 100g

Once agar agar is poured, do not move the round tin.
Use toothpick to poke the hole or shift to center to scoop.
Touch the Agar agar, if it’s bouncy, pour next layer.
Use knife and do several small cuts (distance apart) on every layer once it’s a little harder.
