Finally,I've decided to made muah chee. First time was a failure, using microwave oven method.Next, i've tried the steaming method and works out perfectly fine. I've let my family and friends tried and they said that it was good!So i'm sharing the recipe here:
Ingredients:
dough batter:
200g glutinous rice or sticky rice flour
2 tsp of sugar
1 pinch of salt (optional)
250 ml water
1 tbsp of vegetable oil (or cooking oil)*
1 tsp of sesame oil for brushing the cooked dough
Peanut mixture
150g roasted peanuts
75g sugar
Method:
Make the peanut mix by mixing the peanuts and sugar in a bowl.
To have a fair mixture, put the sugar and salt into the water and mix well. Then mix with the glutonous rice flour, along with the veg oil.Mix the dough batter well. Pour into a deep dish and steam for about 25 minutes. Test the centre to make sure it is cooked through before taking it out of the steamer.Brush the dough with a little oil(in this case I used sesame oil yo have a better fragrance). Leave to cool down slightly.Scoop small pieces of the dough onto the peanut mix then toss to thoroughly coat them. And tada!! Enjoy the muah chee tasting. ENJOY trying them out! :)
